ADAM QUINN, president

Adam Ranier

Quinn hit the road in 1990 after growing up in the Philadelphia area, studying physical education and physical therapy at Temple University and assisting with youth leadership seminars with the Valley Forge Freedom Foundation. 

When the adventure of Hawaiʻi called, Adam discovered a whole new universe as crew aboard Maui charters. He was soon a certified boat captain, a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and a PADI-certified SCUBA dive master, logging over 3,000 dives in Hawaiian waters. 

A quintessential “people person,” Quinn’s work in Maui’s service-oriented tourist industry clicked with his thirst for adventure. In 1993, he applied his skills and local contacts as a “Club Concierge” at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. In an effort to fulfill guest requests for experiences “off the beaten path,” Adam went on to design and direct the resort’s comprehensive hiking and eco-tour programs. 

In 1998, Quinn recognized a growing niche in Maui’s eco and adventure tourism industry. Refining his skills with intensive mountaineering training, Quinn co-founded LATAtudes & ADAtudes’s Maui Eco-Adventures and spent several years discovering and guiding fellow adventurers to the most remote locations in the Hawaiian Islands and beyond.

For more than a decade now, Adventure Quinn (formerly Legendary Adventures) has been creating lifetime experiences for corporate groups, celebrities, CEOs professional athletes and other discerning guests in Hawaiʻi and worldwide.

An active community member, Adam is the Past Vice President of Maui County Hawaiian Canoe Association, the Past President of the Lahaina Canoe Club, and a former Maui Preparatory Academy Paddling Coach. He has volunteered with whale research organizations for over 15 years. 

Quinn continues to work and play hard and to travel the world sharing new adventures with his wife Leslie. In addition to his love for outrigger paddling, SCUBA, sailing, skiing, mountain climbing and flying, Quinn does claim to enjoy a good book once in awhile.


KAIMANA BRUMMEL, director of operations

Born and raised on Maui, Kaimana has an innate love for the island and spent her youth running through the mountains and swimming in the ocean. A fluent Hawaiian language speaker, Kaimana attended Hawaiian language immersion school until high school, and graduated from Seabury Hall, a private college prep school on the slopes of Haleakala. A DI volleyball scholarship took her to Washington, DC where she attended The George Washington University and double-majored in International Affairs and Geography.
 
After working in the non-profit industry for a number of years, Kaimana has found her passion sharing the best of Maui with visitors. Her extensive network of local contacts and knowledge of Hawaiian culture allows our clients to enjoy experiences not afforded to many.
                      
Kaimana is the product of a home dedicated to Hawaiian values, community, and malama aina (care for the land). She strives to fulfill the responsibilities bestowed upon her by her ancestors, family, and community with aloha (love), haʻahaʻa (humility), and ʻike pono (knowledge).
 
Kaimana and her husband Aaron have two young children. They love the beach, playing sports and spending time together as a family. An active community volunteer, Kaimana is a strong advocate for causes related to children and the environment.


KIM ABRAHAMSON, director of sales

A Southern California native, Kim discovered her love of travel at an early age, and spent her twenties leading deluxe, all-inclusive FIT leisure travel groups to Hawaii and around the globe. She chose Maui as her permanent home in the mid-80’s. Attracted by the challenge of the expanding corporate incentive travel industry, Kim worked as a freelance travel director in Hawaii. Managing complex programs throughout the state and worldwide, she gained extensive experience in all aspects of corporate travel program logistics.

Kim founded Island Incentives, a Maui-based destination management company (DMC), in 1992. The business specialized in the planning and execution of high-end corporate incentive travel programs throughout the Hawaiian Islands. She led the company from a sole proprietorship to a team of 32 full-time and more than 60 part-time professionals, establishing a reputation as one of Hawai'i's top DMCs. Under Abrahamson’s leadership, Island Incentives enjoyed preferred partner status with many of the State's leading luxury resorts and incentive travel houses. Highly active in the meetings and incentives industry, Kim was the first professional in Hawaii to earn the industry’s most prestigious certifications: the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and the Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP). 

Kim built and cultivated long-term partnerships with her clients, and worked with hundreds of companies of all sizes and from most every industry segment. A partial list of those clients includes 3M Company, Abbott Laboratories, Airbus Industries, Amazon.com, BankAmerica Mortgage, Cisco Systems, Cochlear, Deere & Company, DELL, Energizer, Farm Bureau Insurance, Hewlett-Packard, Johnson & Johnson, Kodak, Kraft Foods, Lexus, Motorola, Nike, Principal Financial Group, Quaker Oats, Sony, Southern Wine & Spirits, Sprint, Suzuki, The Boston Co. and Whirlpool Corporation. 

Merging Island Incentives with two competitors in 2007, Kim took the opportunity to spend more time with her family and give back to her community and worked in the Maui non-profit sector for several rewarding years. Now, with her boys both in college, she has returned to her first love – creating lifetime memories for discerning travelers.

Kim lives with her husband, a professional Chef, on the lower slopes of Haleakala. Her passions include travel, food and wine, sports and community service projects.
